We are creating a permanent bronze plaque—featuring the likenesses of Tommy and Stan, as they were in 1969—to be installed at the entrance of the A.C. Flora baseball field, near the ticket booth. The plaque will be modeled after the plaques in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium and crafted by the same company, US Bronze.
This will serve as a lasting tribute to two men whose friendship and team spirit spanned six decades, starting with the Palmetto Baseball League, then Hand-Crayton Pony League and Columbia Colt League, and on through four unforgettable seasons as Falcons.
The foundation of this memorial will include a brick wall and concrete base, placing it in a prominent spot for players, families, and fans to see for generations to come.
To bring this vision to life, we are seeking to raise $25,000. These funds will cover:
-
The cost of the bronze plaque and its installation
-
Construction of the concrete and brick base
-
Continued donations to the A.C. Flora Scholarship Fund in the name of each year’s recipient
We invite you to join us in honoring two teammates who gave so much to the game—and to all of us. Whether you played alongside them, grew up with them, or simply admired their lifelong friendship, your contribution will help ensure their legacy is celebrated for years to come.
